About Ian

FullSizeRender.jpeg

My name is Ian Blue, and I’m a homeowner running for Zone 1 Director on the Mar Vista Community Council (MVCC) because I believe we deserve a safe and welcoming neighborhood. My wife Meredith, our dog Paloma, and I love being a part of this community, but like many of you, I’ve grown frustrated with rising crime and the lack of action from city government.

With over 15 years of experience in public policy and government, I know how to navigate complex systems and advocate for real solutions. If elected, I will fight for:

  • Increased police visibility and responsiveness

  • Transparent crime reporting

  • A community safety plan for emergencies and natural disasters

  • Investments in safety infrastructure, including better street lighting and security cameras

I will work directly with residents to track crime data, push for accountability, and make sure city officials hear our voices.

Together, we can make Westside Village, Palms, and Mar Vista safer, stronger, and more connected. I’d be honored to have your support!
